Flash Dex

Order-Book Spot & Perpetuals DEX on RGB & Lightning

Hyperliquid-grade trading experience. Bitcoin-grade security. Zero censorship. Ultimate privacy.
Order book driven spot and perpetual contract trading (distinct from RGB Dex AMM Swap), settling natively on RGB & Lightning — LSP market makers actively post Bid and Ask orders, providing professional liquidity.

Core Advantages

⚡ Instant Settlement via Lightning Network

Lightning Network channels enable sub-second settlement with near-zero fees. Position updates, funding rate payments, and liquidations settle instantly through payment channels — matching the throughput of a centralized exchange without sacrificing self-custody.

  • Millisecond latency: Trade state updates propagate through Lightning channels without waiting for block confirmations — comparable to Hyperliquid's 0.1–0.2s finality.
  • Continuous funding settlement: Funding rate payments flow as Lightning micro-payments every second, eliminating the 8-hour batch window and associated arbitrage gaps.
  • Near-zero fees: Channel-internal trades cost fractions of a satoshi — no Gas competition, no transaction fee spikes during volatility.

₿ Bitcoin PoW Security — The Hardest Foundation

Flash Dex anchors to Bitcoin Proof-of-Work — inheriting over $1 trillion in accumulated hash power security. Every collateral UTXO, every settlement transaction, and every dispute resolution path is backed by the most battle-tested consensus mechanism in history.

  • vs. Hyperliquid: Hyperliquid security depends on the HYPE token staking budget. Attacking it costs a fraction of attacking Bitcoin. Flash Dex's security budget is Bitcoin's entire mining ecosystem.
  • No trust in a new L1 token: You do not need to trust that HYPE, SOL, or any governance token maintains its value to keep the settlement layer secure.
  • 21M supply cap: Collateral cannot be inflated. The monetary policy of your margin is enforced by the same consensus as the base asset.

🔓 Truly Permissionless — No Validator Cartel

Flash Dex operates through an open LSP (RGB Lightning Service Provider) network. LSPs serve as professional market makers: actively posting Bid and Ask orders on the order book, earning profit through spread. Anyone can become an LSP by staking BTC and running a bitlight rgbldkd node. There are no privileged validators, no foundation-controlled stake majority, and no governance vote that can override protocol rules.

  • No admin intervention: RGB contract parameters are immutable once deployed. No entity can pause, upgrade, or override logic without a full protocol migration that users must opt into.
  • Order book driven pricing: LSPs actively post Bid and Ask orders, earning profit through spread. Market prices emerge from genuine supply-and-demand competition among professional market makers — not algorithmic curves.
  • No "validator put option": Unlike Hyperliquid, where validators can choose which liquidations to execute and which market prices to enforce, Flash Dex's rules are enforced by cryptographic contracts — not human consensus.

🕵️ Native Privacy by Design

RGB's client-side validation model means trade history, position sizes, and collateral amounts are only visible to the parties involved. No on-chain data exposes your position to MEV bots, front-runners, competitor analysis, or chain surveillance tools.

  • Zero on-chain position data: RGB state transitions are validated locally. Only cryptographic commitments are embedded in Bitcoin transactions — indistinguishable from ordinary BTC transfers.
  • MEV-resistant architecture: Without a public mempool for position updates, front-running is structurally impossible — not just mitigated.
  • Selective disclosure: Traders can cryptographically prove positions to counterparties or auditors without revealing data publicly.

🌉 Zero Bridge Risk — Bitcoin Native Assets

Every asset on Flash Dex is native to Bitcoin. Collateral is BTC. Stablecoins are RGB20-issued assets on Bitcoin directly. There is no bridge, no wrapped token, no cross-chain message.

  • No bridge attack surface: Cross-chain bridges have lost billions of dollars to exploits. Flash Dex has no bridge — assets are always native Bitcoin UTXOs.
  • Native USDT on Bitcoin: RGB20 issuance brings native dollar-denominated margin to Bitcoin without wrapping or bridging.
  • True self-custody: Lightning channel assets are locked in 2-of-2 multisig — the platform cannot unilaterally withdraw your collateral.

🛡️ Censorship-Resistant at the Protocol Level

No jurisdiction can delist a trading pair, freeze a position, or block a liquidation. The rules are encoded in RGB contracts and enforced by Bitcoin consensus — not by a company, a validator set, or a smart contract owner.

  • No account creation or KYC: Lightning Network access is permissionless globally — available to any participant regardless of jurisdiction.
  • Permissionless market listing: Any RGB asset with sufficient liquidity can be listed as a perpetual market without governance approval.
  • High-value user protection: Particularly suited for high-net-worth individuals and institutions in high-censorship-risk environments — where the ability to trade without identity exposure or asset freezing is mission-critical.

📊 Capital Efficiency Through Cross-Margin on RGB

RGB's asset model allows a single UTXO to serve as shared collateral across multiple contract states. Cross-margin trading lets one BTC position back multiple perpetual contracts simultaneously — maximizing capital efficiency without custodial pooling.

  • Shared UTXO collateral: One Bitcoin UTXO can back multiple open positions through RGB multi-asset state transitions.
  • Portfolio margining: Hedged positions offset margin requirements at the protocol level, reducing capital lockup.
  • No custodial pool exploit risk: Capital efficiency is achieved without pooling user funds into a shared contract that becomes a high-value exploit target.

One-Line Positioning

"Flash Dex = Hyperliquid's trading experience + Bitcoin's security + zero censorship + ultimate privacy + order book driven LSP market making"

Unlike RGB Dex AMM Swap, Flash Dex follows an order book path: LSP market makers actively post Bid and Ask orders, and market prices emerge from genuine supply-and-demand competition. Hyperliquid wins on performance and liquidity today; Flash Dex wins on security, genuine decentralization, and uncensorability.

Technical Architecture

Layer 1: Bitcoin — The Settlement Backbone

All collateral, final settlement, and dispute resolution anchor to Bitcoin L1. RGB contract state transitions are committed as Taproot outputs, making every position provably anchored to the most secure blockchain in existence. In the event of a channel dispute or forced close, the final position state is recoverable from Bitcoin directly — no oracle, no admin, no sequencer required.

Layer 2: Lightning Network — High-Frequency Trading Rail

Position updates, funding rate payments, partial liquidations, and PnL streaming all occur over Lightning payment channels. Assets are locked in 2-of-2 multisig channels — the platform cannot unilaterally withdraw collateral. Traders open a channel, execute trades at Lightning speed, and settle final balances back to Bitcoin when closing — eliminating both block latency and gas cost while preserving full Bitcoin-level exit rights.

RGB Protocol — Contract and Asset Logic

RGB smart contracts define the immutable rules for position creation, margin requirements, funding rate calculation, and liquidation thresholds. These contracts are validated client-side, with only cryptographic commitments posted on-chain. No admin key can upgrade or override them. Native USDT (RGB20) provides dollar-denominated margin without any bridge or wrapping risk.

Stash Cloud — Validation Data Persistence

Every open position generates RGB state transition proofs that must be preserved for future validation. Flash Dex integrates with the Stash Cloud to automatically back up these proofs across decentralized storage — ensuring traders never lose access to position history or collateral recovery data, even if their local device is lost or destroyed.

In Development

Flash Dex represents a core part of the Stash Labs long-term product vision — the final layer of a vertically integrated Bitcoin-native DeFi stack: AMM spot, order-book spot and perpetuals, and decentralized data infrastructure, all settling on Bitcoin without bridges or custodians.
